THE
YOUNG PEOPLE’S VIEWS
Phuc 6V
Three schools went into an animation project. At first I didn’t
know what was going to do. Then we found out we were going to do an animation
project with Holte School, Mayfield School and Heathfield about stopping
bullying.
All of the three schools had
to tell the people why bullies bully and what victims can do to stop the
bullying. We played games and sing songs about bullying. We did dances
about bullying.
We had to come up with some
small stories then we send them all off to a person called Jan Watts to
putt them all together to make a big story, which is called Lisa’s
No Pizza”. Which is about a girl called Lisa which gets bullied.
We didn’t know what Lisa looked like, so we had to call a artist
to draw Lisa. We can tell the artist what we did like and what we don’t.
The best bit was when we got to go on the computer

Hi there, through the next few minutes I’ll be talking you through
the making of the animation!
Firstly there was no bigger
problem than the routine, each week we had to go to either Heathfield,
Holte or Mayfield, we had so many holidays popping out we had to change
the venue all the time. We started off doing a few dances mixed with some
classical music. Did you know dancing helps your footwork? We also did
some drama, to help stop interrupting, we counted up to twenty without
anybody saying the same number at the same time! Finally in comes the
technology, the computer wizards set up a programme on the laptop so we
could choose the backgrounds and the characters, then we chose the sounds
and many other things. There were many people involved and many venues.
Every once in a while we had a meeting to check that we were happy with
the scenes, just to make sure!
By the ways it’s every Wednesday from 1pm till 3.30pm
I’ll keep you updated, happy animating.

Three schools went to the animation project, the Schools were Heathfield,
Holte and Mayfield. We did the animation with Shaz and Rebekka. The first,
second and third weeks we play games and did dances.
The fourth week we did a story board about what it feels like to be a
bully or a victim of a fight or a victim of a bully. We wrote stories
and sent them to Jan Watts, who developed our stories in one story called
Lisa’s No Pizza.
We went to the CLC and we worked on the computers. There was two girls
from the CLC who worked with us. We made up our characters and sent them
to a artist who drew them. Then we saw the drawing and had to say what
need doing to them. Then they told us to make a website which we gave
ideas of and now this following week they are going to look at the whole
animation and website then tell what we think about and have some people
from each school, who is going to do the voice of some people in the story.

We have been doing the animation project for three weeks now. This includes
Heathfield, Holte and Mayfield School. At first I felt scared when I went
there but now I like it there.
We went into groups, some were in threes and some were in fours. I was
in fours. We had to plan a character either it’s the bully or the
victim. We always play games first. The following week we came back to
our School which is Heathfield. Three people came and showed us what we
were going to do on the computer to create a character. Then the following
week again we went to Holte school. There we wrote a beginning, middle
and an end to a story (script). Then we wrote down our opinions and feelings
as the bully or victim. On that day they gave us a pencil case which included
a pencil, pen, badge, ruler, rubber and a little box of crayons. This
will carry on for weeks but only on Wednesday afternoons.
I do like it there. I met many people and we talked to each other.
