Learning Objectives Reading instructions from the problem
page section. Writing in the genre of a problem page. Produce a Bully
Book for others.
Learning Outcomes Consider the dilemmas involved in issues
to do with bullying. Produce solutions to those problems. Share concerns,
information and ideas about bullying to others.
Introduction Discussion – “What is a problem
page? What features are common to this genre?”
Development Access the problem page section and complete
with a partner. List the important ways that bullying can be stopped.
Plenary Print out problem pages, if they have been desktop
published. Make a class list of important ways that bullying can be stopped,
for inclusion in the Bully Book.
Differentiation Production of an “Oprah”
– style TV show on Bullying. Consideration of what should be contained
in the Bully Book. Collation of material for the Bully Book.
Assessment marking of written problem page work
Resources
• Access to computers – if going to desktop publish the completed
book or use the information for a website or pen and paper.
