Learning Objectives Read the information about the characters. Consider each characters fears. Record an assessment of them. Consider how language reflects character.

Learning Outcomes Acknowledge that the consequence of bullying is fear. The type of language used by people reflects how the feel about them self.

Introduction Discussion -“Who is Lisa? Who are these people in her life?”

Development Read through characterisations – discuss and record each characters fears. Read through the monologues and complete worksheet.

Plenary Print off “fears” and discuss the responses and make a class record of each characters fears.

Differentiation Support through reading each characterisation and monologue or staff reading the text.

Assessment Marking of fear responses. Responses to questioning and discussion in introduction and plenary.

Resources

• Access to computers or printout to characterisation worksheet and monologue worksheet.
• Pens and paper.
