Learning Objectives Focus on feelings and how feelings
are expressed in terms of language.
Learning Outcomes Improve powers of self – expression.
Improve vocabulary.
Introduction Activity – “How do we feel today?”
(a numbered imaginary line across the classroom. Number 1 – “I
feel awful”. Number 10 – “I feel great”. Stand
on the line where you feel today. Then pretend your are each of the characters
in Lisa’s No Pizza – “Where would they be on that imaginary
line?”
Development Work through the KEYWORD worksheet, either
on computer or on a worksheet printout.
Plenary Discuss what new words pupils have found for
feelings and their meanings.
Differentiation Bigger font size printout for slow readers.
Support with dictionary and thesaurus use – alphabet on the classroom
wall.
Assessment Marking of completed sheets and through contributions
to plenary discussion.
